I was born November 4, 1983 in Nicosia, Cyprus where we lived till June 1994. We moved back here to Lebanon where I went to school and then studied Computer Science at AUB and graduated this June at the age of 20. I visited Khiyam 2 or 3 times only, and I am proud to say I come from there because it's a wonderful town and I am especially proud of my big beautiful family (even though I don't know many of them). Now I am going to continue Masters at AUB in Computer Science. . |

In 1988 I came to Battle Creek, Michigan and completed my Associate Degree in Automotive Technology at Kellogg Community College, Graduated 1992. I moved to Big Rapids, Michigan and completed my Bachelor Degree in Automotive and Heavy Equipment Management (AHM) at Ferris State University (FSU), Graduated 1994. In 2002 I am pursuing my Master of Business Administration in Global Management. Now I am working with Ford Motor Company as Product Concern Analyst at Worldwide Direct Market Operations (WDMO) since 1999, Dearborn, MI, USA. My wife Safaa Reda Alajouz from Khiyam also. Although Canadian born, my father,John (Hanna ) Ansara, son
of Monsour Ansara was born in Khiyam on January 19,1910
and came to Canada in 1926. His mother was from the Chammas family, also from Khiyam. His wife, Virginia Adado, was born in Lansing Michigan . Her father, Kamal Adado was from Deir Mimas and Her mother, Alice was from the Abou Rashid family from Jdeidet Marjeyoun. I am married to a Lebanese Born woman, Nouhad and have two sons, Ron 19 and Mark 17. I am pleasantly surprised that information about Khiyam is available on the Internet and I hope someone from the Ansara family will answer so I may get to know that person. |

We moved to Khiyam till the Israeli invasion in 1978. I finished my Masters in Petro-Chemical Engineering in Moscow USSR and presently work as a purchasing manager at KUMARO SARL. Married and have four daughters, Hanan, Hala, Hawra'a and Fatima. We visit Khiyam frequently and we always spend our summer vacation there. We love our beautiful town. |

His brothers are David and Edward and his sisters are Ida and Julia. Ida (88) and David (80?) are alive now and my father is 82. I am 45 and have two cousins, Ellen and John, who are children of David Haweeli and his wife Henrietta. We were told that our family was from Marjeyoun and I know that in the early 60s, my grandmother and Uncle David visited. I tried to get there in 1977 but needed a military taxi so I stayed in Zahle for a bit. I am very proud of my Lebanese heritage |
